Born and raised in LA and Orange County, Dr. Kalvin is thrilled to put down roots in the place he’s always considered home. After graduating with a BS at UC Irvine, Dr. Kalvin completed his dental schooling at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He then completed a residency program to further refine his dentistry skills and practiced for 5 years in Oklahoma before returning home to California.
Dr. Kalvin was drawn to dentistry for a multitude of reasons, but the one that sticks out for him is the ability to provide someone with a renewed quality of life after not being able to chew properly, or dealing with pain. It’s important to him that his patients feel confident and comfortable with their smile. Dr. Kalvin is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Orange County Dental Society. He is a champion of continuing education and enjoys maintaining connections and sharing knowledge with his peers.
When Dr. Kalvin isn’t practicing dentistry, you can find him enjoying all that Orange County has to offer! He is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves trying new restaurants; he also enjoys crafting his own dishes at home! Dr. Kalvin enjoys traveling, going to concerts and getting out for a hike on the weekends.
At your first appointment, we will have you complete some medical and dental history forms so we can prepare for your particular oral health needs. We will review your history with you and ask any follow up questions as needed. Our front desk team will provide a tour so you know how to access amenities such as restrooms, beverages or a warm blanket — we truly want you to feel at ease. If you’re visiting us for a preventive care appointment, we will complete X-rays, provide a thorough cleaning followed by an exam where you can get to know Dr. Kalvin. We welcome your questions and want you to feel like an active participant in your oral health! From there we can make treatment plans and set up future appointments. Our team is happy to help submit insurance claims on your behalf, and provide estimates for any recommended procedures. First appointments may look a bit different person to person, but that’s because no 2 patients are alike!

Our ultimate goal is to ensure top notch dental treatments for each and every patient we see. We’re invested in advances in dental technology and feature a variety of tools that make your experience quicker and more precise.
Our office features CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography), a digital system that rotates around your head capturing hundreds of 3D images of your mouth. We have a 3D printer capable of printing precise crown and bridge models as well as retainers and aligners for your convenience. Additionally, we use CEREC Primescan technology to design and create single-visit restorations, including crowns, onlays, and more!
